The children's author David Walliams lost his contract with longtime publisher.
Best-selling writer for children and entertainer David Walliams is no longer with his longtime publishing house, according to an announcement.
A representative for the publisher commented: "After careful consideration, and under the leadership of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing future works by David Walliams."
Media sources suggest that the decision was taken subsequent to an inquiry regarding claims about questionable actions directed at female individuals.
The firm did not confirm the specific rationale behind the move, adding: "We do not comment on internal matters."
A Highly Successful Writing Journey
Walliams is one of the UK's most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over more than 60 million copies globally in dozens of tongues.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins in 2008.
Some of his titles, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into television films.
He has published in excess of 40 works in total, which features a holiday title called *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins in October.
From Screen to Page
He first rose to fame on the broadcast sketch program *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his duties as an arbiter on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He was made an OBE in 2017 in recognition of his work for philanthropic and artistic endeavors.
The publisher's decision comes after the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO this past October.
