British boxer Anthony Joshua Discharged from Medical Facility in Nigeria Following Deadly Car Crash

The British boxer Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, officials in Lagos stated on Wednesday night. The fighter was caught in a vehicular crash outside Lagos on the 29th of December, a horrific crash that took the lives of two of his close associates.

Recovering from Minor Injuries

The sports star had remained in the hospital while healing from his light wounds, representatives had said on Monday. A government official, Gbenga Omotoso, announced via a post on X that Joshua was judged healthy enough to “recuperate at home”.

“The boxer and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to pay their final respects to his two deceased friends as they were being readied to be sent home,” the official remarked.

A Tribute to the Fallen

Those who lost their lives were identified as Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a performance coach. The official further stated that the athlete was heartbroken and full of emotions over the tragic loss of his two close friends.”

The news of his discharge arrives after the sports world offered condolences for the star in the wake of the terrible crash.
