Barcelona Ready for Historic Game at Renovated Camp Nou over the weekend

Barça revealed they are set to host at the renovated but unfinished Camp Nou this Saturday. Athletic Bilbao will visit the Bilbao team in domestic competition over two years since relocating to allow renovations to start.

“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”

Not all seats will be available though over 45,000 attendees will be allowed to watch as per the current authorization. Once fully finished, the stadium’s capacity will reach almost 105,000 spectators, up from the previous 99,000. Officials confirmed finished work included an updated entryway for the team plus modern locker rooms.

Stadium Testing

The club conducted a public practice at the Camp Nou earlier this month. The club said they are seeking authorization from European football’s governing body to host the next European match against Eintracht Frankfurt in December in the renovated venue. Previous fixtures took place at the Olympic Stadium.
